HELL - WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT IT?

CHRIST'S VICTORY
Dead Men Walking sounds a bit cryptic doesn't it? Well, most everyone you know, most everyone you see walking down the street, are just that; Dead Men Walking. I say this with the conviction of truth, because Jesus and the Bible say it's so, and neither lie

A lot of people say they are Christians because they believe in God. Well I'm here to tell you that simply believing in God and Jesus Christ as Our Savior is not nearly enough. A Christian who wants to be saved must live for Him 'til he dies. Being saved is a life-changing event which is where the term "Born Again" comes from.

So when you walk down the street and see people who don't walk the walk of someone wanting to be like Christ, you're looking at another soul that will die and not see eternal life. Denial can be a killer.

Men shall desire to die and death shall flee from them!  (Rev. 9:6)

Dr. Mark R. Levin For President In 2012!

With over 400 Biblical scriptures on Hell, don't think for a minute that it's not a very real place! Hell is not only real, but it's just as hellish as the Bible has told us, and we need to believe. Why? So that you also understand that as ugly as hell is, Heaven is the complete and absolute opposite, and it's waiting for you if you give your heart to Jesus. So who and what shall be turned into hell? Let's look at some scripture and see what it says:

"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God."

Psalm 9:17

The verse above describes "the wicked" and "all the nations that forget God" as being singled out for eternity in hell. I don't believe that entire nations will be subjected and sent to hell literally, because no matter how hard some dictatorships and communistic regimes try, there are still Christians who resist the persecution. Worldwide, there are entire nations that are trying to exterminate God's people (I'm speaking solely about the God of Christianity and Jesus Christ), but they can't eradicate the Truth of God. He will stand above all and be defended, by men and women of faith, without fear of reprisal. I believe that the term "nations" used in the verse applies to all those in a government or regime that persecute Christians, and I am certain that those people are considered wicked by God. I consider them wicked and my human standards of righteousness fall well short of God's. It is only by the blood of Christ that we are saved because we all fall short of God's demands for righteousness.

Click this link to watch an interesting video titled: "Interview With The Devil". It's very interesting and thought  provoking...

Before continuing on, if you're not a true believer, or are on the fringe of belief and disbelief, take a moment to read this article regarding several world-renowned individuals who took the resurrection of Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago, and put it to the test of legal evidence. This is a must-read for anyone on the fringe, or if you just feel like you want to reaffirm your faith in the Lord. Read this before continuing on: http://www.av1611.org/resur.html

There is also a very worthy DVD that you will want to rent of buy called: "The Case For Christ" by Lee Strobel.

Here's a video someone created, depicting the words that Satan is thinking as he leads so many millions/billions into hell. I have no doubt in my mind that's exactly along the lines of his thinking because he cares nothing about humans. He loves to see evil in people, and he loves to see it come out in any kind of way possible because it takes us further from God. The further we get from God, the closer we get to Satan. And when the people who end up in hell beg Satan for mercy, there will be no quarter. He will laugh at your pain and anguish. He will not be victorious over God or Jesus. But he can and will be victorious over many souls, which he will torment forever and ever. As good as heaven is, is how bad hell will be. Hell is unlike anything any human can imagine. But after you watch this video, follow that up with the video below that one. It will give you a true perspective of hell and what people who don't follow Jesus can expect...

The video below gives you an up close and personal description of what hell is really like. Mr. Bill Wiese was taken into hell while he was a saved Christian, so that he could tell anyone who would listen just how real hell is, and how terrible it is. He hasn't been the only one to have taken this journey, and he's been able to find many others and put their testimonies into this video also, to corroborate his personal story. I've watched it several times and never get tired of it. It's long, but well worth it. Most of us would love to think that hell isn't real and when we die, we just die and that's it. But that isn't it, not even close. There is an eternal reward for you if you give your life over to Christ, a reward so much greater than anyone or anything on this earth can give. But on the flip side, there's an eternal damnation and punishment for those who have chosen to reject Jesus and live life for themselves. Both heaven and hell go way beyond description using any words that are known to man. One place is so beautiful, full of love, tranquility, and peace, where there is no pain or sorrow. The other place is terribly painful and horrible, beyond a horror anything produced in Hollywood can portray.

Both places cannot be described in human terms because our imaginations cannot comprehend them. We've never known a place like heaven, though we may have at times felt like we were in heaven. Think of the first time you held your baby, or maybe the day you married your dream come true. Those moments may have felt like heaven, but they didn't last. And still they pale in comparison to what heaven is going to be like. Heaven will be forever, and you will feel a happiness you've never known before. Now on the flip side, hell will be unlike anything ever experienced by man. We've all had moments where we felt like we were in hell, but just like the heavenly moments we felt, they were also just temporary and ended. The hell in the afterlife will also be forever, but it will be horror beyond what any imagination can conceive. There is no way to truly describe it, though Bill Wiese does as good of a job as he can. Take note that he also had to omit some of what he experienced because it was too disgusting to be repeated. Watch the video and remember that if hell is real, then heaven is real, and if they're real, you're going to one or the other. You have to make a decision or it will be made for you, which usually doesn't mean anything good for you.

There are but two places for your eternal life, and believing in Christ and giving your life to Him is the only way you can avoid hell and get to heaven. Here are a couple more verses to help illustrate this point:

"Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, "He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world."

Matthew 13:36-40

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."

Matthew 13:47-50

"And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not; John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable."

Luke 3:15-17

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring froth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."

John 15:1-6

"And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from that glory of his power;"

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9

"Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire."

Revelation 19:19-20

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

Revelation 21:8

There are another 7 passages of scripture, 3 of which are Jesus himself speaking of hell and it being eternal. I truly hope that everyone understands the gravity of the word "eternal". It is a forever word meaning that whatever it is being spoken about will last forever. In this worldly life, most people don't even dream of living 100 years, or expect to live that long, because it's an extremely long time in these sinful earthly bodies. Eternity is living one of those 100-year lifetimes, over and over and over again, an infinite number of times! Once you've made the decision to go to heaven or hell, which is a decision that you can make, you can't take it back after you've died. If you chose heaven of course you wouldn't ever want to take it back because it will be forever in the Garden of Eden, paradise on earth. But if you've chosen to spend eternity in hell, you've made the most costly and ignorant mistake ever! No question about it! Don't let the devil con you into believing that he and hell don't exist, because he and it does. He and his demons will laugh at your torment and misery, forever...

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit"

Isaiah 14:12-15

"8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."

1 Peter 5:8-11

When Lucifer tried to take over God's place as The Almighty, he lost the battle and was kicked out of Heaven. Where did he end up? Here on earth, to destroy. The verses above from 1 Peter tell us that the devil is like a lion, walking around, looking for someone to destroy. Why is the lion such a good analogy for the devil. If you take a few moments to study lions and how they hunt, you get a clear idea of how the devil gets his claws into people.

A lion will sit and watch a herd of lesser animals, his food. A lion doesn't attack the whole herd, just like Satan doesn't attack and entire church, or an entire family. The lion will sit there and watch the entire herd, for hours if he has to. He's watching for that one (antelope, gazelle, water buffalo, yak...) that sets itself apart from the others in some way. Typically he's looking at the younger, weaker ones, that will stray away from the herd, or fall behind. If there's a sick or especially weak one that can't keep up, that will be his target.

Just like the devil, who's constantly watching us, waiting for that perfect victim and his opportunity to attack. He doesn't attack an entire church congregation, or an entire family. He attacks individuals who are weak, or weakened in some way, and try to get them away from God. His job is really easy when he's attacking a kid in a family that isn't of Christian faith. Children are the first targets for him as they aren't very strong in their knowledge of Christ, lacking in Christlike wisdom. How does he attack them? Through any means possible, and there are so many these days that it's very difficult for a parent to keep them all at bay. TV, music, video games, cell phones and text messaging, computers and online gaming, public school, friends, and a desire to fit in somewhere. All of these areas are what Satan will use to get at a child's heart and create dissension and dissatisfaction. If you have children, you must closely monitor all of these areas of your childs' life and daily usage.

If he can't get to the child, he'll try to get one of the parents. If they're unbelievers, he will continue to push them into the deception of satisfaction with sins of the flesh. If they're believers, he will try to create doubt, or put temptations in your path. God has used the Bible to teach us that He will always provide an escape to temptation. God won't leave us high-and-dry, unable to escape a sinful situation where we have no option but to sin. There's ALWAYS a way out. The more you know the Bible and the stronger your faith in Jesus, the easier it is to spot the way out, and the easier it is to take the road least traveled. Satan is crafty and has already permeated our government, creating what is conveniently called "political correctness". He's also taken over Hollywood so that pretty much everything that is created their is full of sinfulness. Hollywood is trying to teach us that fleshly pleasure is what life is all about and what we should be seeking. It is a very rare movie or show that is made to glorify God, and if one should come out, it is not popular with the general population of this country. These are sad days for God in this country. A country that he blessed greatly for the first 150 years, but has turned its back on Him in absolute defiance and denial.

Be sober and vigilant against Satan and keep God's Word close to your heart. The devil will constantly attack you and never give up. We have to be as strong as ever in our faith in Jesus and he will lift us above evil.

Hell is a place that most people don't think enough about, according to Jesus. And guess what? You can guarantee that he's right. Jesus knew this fact and was concerned enough about it that he took Bill Wiese for a 23 minutes journey into hell to see and feel what it was like. Bill's description of it is not only scary, but eye-opening. He's written a book about it, and also spoken about it many times in churches and seminars. Mr. Wiese was a Christian at the time of this experience and had little understanding of what was going on, or why. The entire experience for him was horrifying obviously, and as the minutes went by he realized where he was at and what he was experiencing. To say he was scared is an understatement that goes way beyond words.

I have watched one of the videos taped of his speaking about the experience, and I've included a link to it here: http://www.deadmenwalking.info/enlighteningvideos.html. It is the first video on the page, "23 Minutes In Hell". It is nearly an hour and a half long, but well worth the time. He speaks about a lot of the facts about the Bible that lend a hint to the authenticity of the book itself. Most people don't realize just how much documentation supports the Bible and all it's truth. If you are someone who thinks that the Bible is just a story, or you have any doubts about the Bible and it's degree of factual truth, watch the video and learn. Or you can go to our King James Bible page and read most of these same facts that I've taken the time to extract out of the video and put down on paper for you. Take a look and you will see that your doubts about the Bible will soon disappear.

Now about Hell. Obviously hell is a place that no one wants to end up. Yet too many people go through life pretending that it doesn't exist. Many people call themselves Christians, yet know nothing about the Bible, God, Jesus, Heaven, or Hell. What they seem to know the least about is hell because Satan has convinced them that it doesn't exist. In fact, many people who call themselves Christians don't even believe that Satan exists. The single greatest act of deception ever to be pulled on man is when the devil convinces humans that he doesn't exist. He wins, you and God lose. Hell is very real, Satan is very real, and both are very evil. Satan cares nothing about humans whatsoever, though satanic people have some illusion that they can have some kind of high standing in his evil kingdom, or whatever they want to call it. God is the one who judges men and women and decides what level of hell they will endure, based on their acts during this lifetime. This is not to say that there are different levels of hell, this is to say that the amount of eternal suffering an evil person will endure will be more brutal for those who have led more brutal lives. Satan doesn't get to make that judgment or distinction, nor does he care. He and his demons will laugh at your soul and it's eternal torment. Satan will take personal satisfaction in each and every soul that he has deceived. There will be no "special" treatment from him or his demons because you were especially evil.

Some of the highlights (or lowlights) of Bill's experience in hell are chilling to say the least. I will speak on some of them here, but truly, you should watch the video yourself to get the full understanding and reality of his experience. First off I want you to know why he was taken into hell for that 23 minutes. After he was "lifted" out of the abyss, he saw Jesus himself. After such a horrifying time, he was a bit bewildered, but felt a love and peace that he'd never felt before, something not of this earth. He was also quite awestruck. He also experienced a thankfulness that was indescribable, as you might imagine.

Jesus knew his every thought and answered Bill's questions before he even asked them. Bill wanted to know why he was taken down there to experience such pain and anguish. As a Christian believer, he didn't understand why such a thing had been done to him. I feel certain that the same question would fill my mind, no doubt about it. Jesus told him that he took him through that experience so that he could share it with the world. Jesus is concerned about people's lack of thought about the reality of hell. In fact, he said, that even Christians themselves don't think enough about hell and how real it is. What does that mean when Jesus says that Christians don't think enough about hell? I think that his point is that without realizing how real it is, we may not give Jesus our 100% dedication that He deserves. Without giving Jesus 100% of our spiritual dedication, we may miss the boat. We run the risk of missing our Heavenly calling which we strive so hard for.
